one year old

one year old today..no not my son, he's just five weeks old and God he's growing fast!! me and my hubby are a year old today..it's our 1st year wedding anniversary!! funny how time flies, last year at this very day we exchanged our vows..to be faithful and to love one another thru thick and thin..we have always been faithful, well, i know i am :) and yes we've been thru alot of trials with just this first year gone. married life is not a game at all, as my brother in law used to say, "married life is not a bed of roses, but love is" and yes that's true, if you love the person truly, madly and deeply you are willing to accept him/her no matter what you will find out after the i do's has been said, well i guess you should be willing to, cause you would have never married him/her in the first place!! i found out alot about my husband which i have never known before, funny cause i thought i knew him too well since we were good friends since 4th grade!! :) but nonetheless all is a good finding,hehe well, except for some which is too gory to mention here, and i'm sure he won't approve of me making him famous especially thru the internet :).. i'm sure he has good and bad finding about me as well, like being too baby-ish when i'm sick, or being mataray when i have PMS, and always asks him to do my pedicure hehe, which he is so good at! but then love always conquers all, beacause, amidst all these characters we find in each other, we continue to go on..being faithful,being strong for one another,being kind and thoughtful to one another..they say the 1st year are just the honeymoon stage over, well maybe..but for us it wasn't just all honeymoon baby, because we live so far from our parents and friends that we have to struggle... living, earning, being there for one another when all else fails, even if both of us are feeling down, each has to suppress a smile, cause if not, i think we'll crumble, all we have here in this foreign land is each other...yet so far so good, we have survived, for the 1st year at least..but, for me, it's a triumph being here with him today, celebrating our 1st year wedding anniversary, beacause i know, that whatever trials and sorrows we still have to face thru in the coming years together, we will make it and surpass it, good or bad..as long as we three are healthy.. because we have each other..and our son..and i think that's all that matters :)
